haruya is an easy-going person by nature. he tends to be the more relaxed one on tour or during big projects, unless he’s overtired or hungry. having a history of recklessness and delinquency in his youth, this hasn’t changed much in his adult years as he’s usually the one getting himself into trouble, be it through poor attempts at doubling as a stuntman or drunkenly making a mess of their hotel rooms. contrary to his outgoing antics, which have come to serve as a shield between him and other people, haruya is pretty shy in crowds and actually suffers extreme stage fright. easy-going as he is about most things, he’s extremely hard on himself when it comes to performing and doesn’t allow himself much grace when it comes to mistakes. even a small mistake can throw him off for the rest of the show, and even after. haruya is a kind person and is notoriously dedicated and present in his personal connections, but can be heartless if you cross him and doesn’t have it in him to give people second chances.
religious beliefs | political views: haruya doesn’t firmly subscribe to any religious beliefs, but likes learning about religion from others. | MORE SOON. likes: food, music, exploring weird places while traveling, taking photos dislikes: bugs, being unable to sleep, confrontation, large crowds of people habits | mannerisms: constantly fidgeting with any object he can find to do so ( pens, clips, paper, etc. ), makes random sounds if it gets too quiet in a room. by far, his worst habit is wandering away from people mid-conversation, especially in group settings. hobbies | interests: outside of playing music, haruya enjoys drawing and painting ( though he wouldn’t say he’s very good at it; he likes leaving doodles around their dressing rooms while on tour ) mental health: SOON physical health: SOON smoke | drink | drugs: no | occasionally ( but he can’t be trusted not to do something disastrous when he drinks ) | no facts: ironically, haruya has extreme stage fright. when flower school was only playing locally, he would often play with his back to the audience for a good portion of the show, unless interacting with one of his co-members. he likes to cook, but isn’t very good at it. however, he is decent at baking. one of his lifelong dreams is to go on a month-long camping trip somewhere far away.

His father was a low-level factory worker struggling to get by, while his mother struggled with chronic illness and was too sick to work. Haruya spent much of his childhood/teenage years caring for her/the household when he wasn’t focused on school. The household wasn’t a friendly or inviting one. Fights often broke out between Haruya and his father. Haruya was distant from most people, not allowing people to visit him at home, and not going out of his way to see them either. There were few people he could really be himself around, one being his mother. He did manage to make a few close friends in school.Haruya was kicked out of his house at 17 after a particularly bad fight broke out between him and his father ( he still has a small scar on his lip from being hit with a curtain rod ). After that, he went to stay with his best friend in school, Hideki. The two of them and another friend, Rikio, started working on music more seriously after a few years of playfully tossing the idea around. The name Flower School is based on a doodle Haruya did in class where all of them with flowers instead of heads. They spent a few years learning their instruments and solidifying members before getting into local shows. The band was eventually discovered by their current record label when they entered a competition show called Talent Odyssey. Although they didn’t win, they were still scouted by Supernova and signed a contract in the same year. Flower School is a dance-rock act that ventures into multiple genres. Each member uses a flower for their stage name.

Currently, Flower School is flourishing in Japan while gaining recent popularity in the United States. Haruya has moved to Yokohama, Japan primarily, but regularly stays in Los Angeles as they get more well-known and tour there more. His mother died when he was 23, but since her funeral, he hasn’t spoken to his father. He still harbors a lot of guilt over her passing but had a lot of support from his bandmates dealing with it and was able to take some time off to do that.Haruya is easy-going and uplifting. He’s kind and goes out of his way to make sure the people around him are taken care of. He can be pretty chaotic sometimes, usually the loudest in the room, and always the first with a bad idea that could lead to trouble later even if it’s really fun in the moment. Despite this, he’s more shy than most would expect, especially in large crowds. Outside of music, he likes drawing and sight-seeing in places he’s never been before. On tour, he can often be found running off alone to explore.・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・ ・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・ ‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚. ・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・ ・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・

three — i'd prefer my writing partners to be at least 21.
four — this is a multi-storyline/multi-ship character, meaning a storyline with person a will have no effect on an existing storyline with person b unless it's discussed and agreed upon by all parties involved.
five — i really shouldn't have to say this, but no ooc drama. ic drama is a-okay though.
six — i can either reply at lightning speed or snail speed and no in between. i apologize in advance. ;o; i'll always make sure to give writing partners a heads up on extended absences and hiatuses.
